The Afristat Newsletter – Special issue N°8
The Economic and Statistical Observatory of Sub-Saharan Africa (AFRISTAT) is pleased to wish a happy new year 2022 to all its partners and to readers of its information review. He hopes that the health crisis related to COVID-19, which has further hampered the normal course of statistical activities in 2021, will see its dangerousness stump. AFRISTAT activities in the end of the year 2021 were dominated by organization of statutory meetings, coordination missions in certain countries, monitoring of the implementation of current projects, continuation of traditional technical support, strengthening and development of partnerships.
The three statutory meetings for the 2nd half of 2021 were held in virtual format. This is the 26 th meeting of the Scientific Council, the 43rd meeting of the Management Committee and the 30 th session of the Council of Ministers.
